The BBQ Hooker 4-in1 Grilling Tool Review

Four years ago Month Craig & Cynthia Schultz from the BBQ Hooker, LLC company sent me the 4-in-1 grilling tool also known as the BBQ Hooker. I first learned about this tool from a few guest on my blog.

Before I start this revue I would like to express my special thanks to Craig and Cynthia Shultz from the BBQ Hooker company for providing me this 4-in-1 grilling tool for this revue.

The BBQ Hooker is a 4-in-1 grilling tool. There patented design will definitely change the way you grill. Well what is really nice about this tool is that you won't need as many gadgets around your BBQ  because this one ingenious tool does it all for you! Which means you will have a lot less clutter around your grilling area from BBQ tools sculling about.

Here's some features of the BBQ Hooker 4-in1 grilling tool:

·       You can use the hook for hooking hot dogs, Sausages, Steaks ribs etc,.. I also found that you can use the hook to lift the hot grate on your BBQ. You can also use the hook to open plastic packages;

·       The rounded spatula is great for flipping delicate fish, burgers, and chicken breast with ease without breaking them in pieces. The spatula is made of pretty strong heavy duty stainless steel that won't bend on you which means it can be used to carry a hot burger, steak, etc,.;

·       The rounded spatula is also armed with a sharp serrated knife edge which is actually pretty sharp and works very well in opening plastic packages and for cutting your ribs rack right on the grill. It can also be use for cutting into steaks for checking for doneness if you don't have a meat thermometer handy;

·       The BBQ hooker is even armed with a bottle opener so you don't have to leave the grilling area to open your favorite cool beverage;

·       The BBQ hookers is made of nice polish heavy gauge stainless steel;

·       The soft rubber grip handle actually fits the contour of your hand very well, and offers a comfy grip and the non-slip rubber prevents your hand from slipping while using it;

·       The length of the handle and its angle is well design to keep your hands away from the heat and flames. This handle is actually well balance which was impressive. The angle in the handle also made it easier to flip and hook meat with ease.

·       Come in a left hand or right hand model

I have been experimenting with this tool on my BBQ for about a while now. I really loved the feature of the hook for turning my chicken, pork shoulders and briskets. Which I found that it work extremely well in performing that task with ease. The hook also works very well in turning hot dogs and sausages but my wife discovered when hooking sausage that you lose some of the sausages juiciness from the punctured hole in the sausage but this might be good for health conscious grillers.

This tool is available in a "Left hand" or "Right Hand", but apparently what that means is that the spatula part is on the right hand side of the handle, with the hook sticking out to the left side of it for a right hand model. I am right handed and found the left handed model is actually easier to use and less awkward. Which means this can be confusing for some when ordering this tool. This little issue was reported by a few readers while I was working on this review but don't let this fool you! Now that you know which version is best suited for you without the confusion!

The BBQ hooker sharp serrated knife edge actually cut through meat whit ease and little effort. The use of the spatula for flipping burgers was actually pretty easy to use and work very well.

Overall this tool works pretty well and can be a little awkward at first but you quickly get use to it after a couple of uses. I found the hook on this tool extremely handy and versatile around the grill. This tool is actually somewhat handy and I would recommend it as a nice to have BBQ tool and this would also be a good gift for a serious or backyard griller that has everything. I rate this tool 3.0 out of 5 Stars.
